Saving up journey……………

Anyone else saving up for their surgery?

I am anyway & thought we could have a wee support thread cos saving is hard work!

Anyway I have managed to save a whopping £150.00 this month LOL

It will slowly but surely build up tho

Well done hun, I saved half and paid the other half on a credit card but if you can manage to save it all up, even better and no debt! Good luck xxx

Yeah I dont want to get it on credit I am trying hard to get rid of all of my debt at the same time as this saving!

Hellooo, I am glad you are saving as well, thought i was the only one lol! I am saving as cannot get finance yet cus of credit! I will probs be able to only save about £150 a month but like you say it will slowly add up and the best thought for me is not having to pay it all back after the op will feel good when you finally get there!! we can do it xx

I too, am also trying to clear previous debt as well as saving, so so so hard lol!!x

Yeah its a total pain in the toosh but at least after all the hard work & saving we’ll be debt free!

I dont have a clue, i am hoping to book a date in september/october?! and hope by then i would have saved most of it and then hoping i may be able to get the rest on credit! I am lucky i get 4 bonus’s a year in work adding upto £1220, so if i save that and £150 a month, maybe more, i should be well on my way! Im awful though, i want things yesterday so saving is not a concept i am used to lol! When do you hope to have the money you need?

Yeah I’m the same cos I’ve made my mind up I just want it done NOWWWWWWWWW!!!

I’m getting rhino cannot wait I’m gonna be 29 soon & just wish I had made the decision to do it years ago!

I get 2 bonuses a year & I’m gonna work all the bank holidays aswell so that will hopefully help.

Initially I was planning to get it done March 2013 but I really want to get it maybe December if I try to save really really hard LOL

Thats what i dont want, i have wanted a BA since i was 16 and am now 22 so dont want to waste any more time thinking about it and then regret not getting it done before!

I’m sure we will get there and before we no it will be on our way to theatre!

I defo regret not just having it done years ago!

I have always been scared of the GA but I’m over that fear now I think thats what really held me back with my decision.

Im not sure as i didnt even try for there finance cus they have a new company whose APR is ridiculous lol! I would try and get a loan or something else?! Sorry not much help!x

Hey girls.. I’m saving too but doing just over half on finance… Min deposit for a BA is £400, but the APR is 21.9% quite pricey..

I’m only 19 an living at home still so i’m going to do it while I can

I’m saving too ladies. About half way there and I’m like you, just want it done NOW!! Definitely need a lottery win. I’m going to try and get finance cos they have changed their finance company and you can put a £2000 deposit and pay the rest over 2 years interest free. I don’t like my chances though cos don’t think I have very good credit but worth a try. Good luck with the saving and get buying those lottery tickets xx

I am also saving for my surgery. I’ve already had my consultations – I needed my surgeon consultation to know exactly what I needed in order to know what kind of money I needed to save (was unsure if I needed a nip lift, full uplift or just implants!)

I only have £150 but hoping to get a wee part time job to help with the savings! Also selling like mad on ebay, doing online surveys and mystery shopping – it doesn’t pay much but every little helps!

This thread is a great idea! So many people just get finance so there doesn’t seem to be too many of us doing it the good old fashioned way lol. I definitely think a thread/group dedicated to the savers would do loads to boost our morale and keep our spirits up. It’s tough going, knowing how far you’ve got to go and how much you need to save!

Yeah there doesnt seem to be many people that save up for stuff like this but I am determined not to get into more debt!

I’ll maybe look into making a wee group but in the mean time we can all keep each other posted on this thread.

I get paid again tomorrow so another £150 straight into the nose fund!
