Scar Strips ??

Sorry to be a pain ….

but could anyone tell me about the Scar strips you can buy??

I really dont know anything about them 😳

got to take steri strips off on mon and bit worried about my scars healing etc

I’ve bought some Dermatrix scar papers, you can buy them in Boots or any chemist, just ask and they’ll grab some for you. xx

Hi dafdaf, look at my post from a few days ago about these . lots of people gave good advice and said they were brilliant and i will def be buying some. im neary a month post op after uplift! x

As long as your dressings are off and also the steri strips are off then yep, you can start using them now hun. Boots def sell them xx

I think you can start using them as soon as you are healing and have no scabs or any thing on your boobs apart from the pink skin you get with scars and i understand they work there best it you start using them as soon as poss, i saw my ps yesterday and he said massaging the scars with cream or oil twice a day works wonders for fading scars also! xx

Thanks knights! Yea ive got some bio oil to massage onto my scars but ive been told not to do so until 6 weeks post op!x

No probs! im a month post op and was told i could masseage but i have just had uplift this time but i remember last year when i had ba i was not allowed to massage for 6 weeks. you would not believe how quickly the scars look to be fading as i have secretly been using bio oil for about 2 weeks naughty me!! i think its amazing! x

UR not meant to use anything until ur six week check esp on ur scars x

Dont know fairy i think its different for uplift maybe as my ps told me yesterday i could massage with oil as im healing nicely and im a month post op but when i had my implants last year i know i had to wait 6 weeks and it was the same surgeon so not sure, just thought he would know more than me so took his word for it! fingers crossed it will be ok! x

i asked my nurse about these…. and b4 she worked at mya she worked in a burns unit…. and in as many words sed to save my money… after ur scars are healing gently rubbing them increases blood to the area and aids healing just as much as a scar sheet.. xx

Vaseline! Heard thats another thing you can smother on your scars. Cheap and cheerful

you can buy the dermatix sheets on ebay – got mine ready for 6 weeks post op as advised. Paid £22 for big sheet, can get smaller ones for less.
