Scared

Hey Girls

I’m having my operation on Sunday – Rhinoplasty with Dr Gonschior I’ve not been worried at all or scared and Im not scared about the operation but…

I have just seen a picture of a girl after coming out of surgery and she still had that tube thing running into her hand, I really dont like needles for a start but the thought if seeing that in my hand is really worrying me and making me feel sick….

Just wondered if anyone else was bothered by this for any of there operations and how they coped.

hi meg991…i must admit that this was the bit i was worried about with my ba…im ok with needles but its coz its in the hand that i felt weird with it.

they put it in when you get into theatre …its a bit of a strange feeling but its like when you have a local anaesthetic at the dentist. once its in… you cant feel it at all as its the tube they leave in you (not the needle) so its flexible when you move around…they leave it in after the op because your drip gets attached to it. when the nurse removes it…the worst bit is getting the plaster off…felt like she was giving my hand a wax lol…but really its fine

Ohhhh hopefully i’ll be ok its that I feel like im going to panic when they put it in = (

And not everyone has to go on a drip when they come out do they ? I hope I dont !!

the drips fine…i didnt even realise i was attached to it until my boyfriend said that i had nearly finished it all.. lol. i did panic a bit when they were putting it in me but they were so nice they really calmed me down xxx
