Scared Now! Recovery seems long & I have a 1 year old?? :'(

I keeep reading about opening wounds after quite a long time…Im really nervous as my girl is 1 and obviously pretty clingy on me, really scared im going to burst open or something??! Advice and Tips please! ‘( xx

i was in the same position as you, when i had my BA my son was 13 months. you will need ALOT of help expecially the firt 3 or 4 weeks. i wasnt able to lift him and simple things like puting him into his cot and in/out of the bath. it is worth it though, trust me. just make sure you’re careful what you do and when your giving her cuddles and you’ll be fine. any other questions about this sorta thing be free to add me or message me on here xxx

i felt like i had the worst hangover EVER for about a week and was so sore that week too, but by day 7 i all of a sudden felt much better..still cudnt lift my kids (5 and 2) untill day 10-12 tho and was hardly in any pain by then! so recovery wasnt long for me, but it that 1st week was hellish i would defo make sure u got lotsa help for then and if u can get it for longer take it! even lying down was difficult at the beginning, and cudnt lie on my side when i was trying to get my wee one to sleep so consider these things too, i wudnt even have thot of that! x

An have no problems – only problem I had was two stitches didn’t want to come out

– was it actually a problem? No

Nurse took them out – couldn’t feel it infact she said they were ready to come out anyway

Things can put you off so just concentrate On yourself xxx

Hello hun I’m currently 6 days po and have a 17mnth old very heavy and clingy little boy!! Iv got my other half with me until Friday this week at which point I will be 9days po and I wish he was going tk be at home longer!! A every1 has said people heal differently and I went into this after my friend and sister had their ba’s and were recovered within 4 or 5 days thinking I would be the same! U will definitely need help for atleast a week but mya say u shouldn’t be lifting anything like the weight of a small child for atleast 2 weeks!! I don’t want to put a dampener on things either but please. See if u can get any help for the first two weeks!!x
