I’ve just had my first post op shower at 10 days (yay!) and changed my steri strips. First glimpse of my scars and they’re actually a lot smaller and thinner than I expected. I worried slightly as can see a stitch which hasn’t dissolved but other than that I’m pretty impressed! However when I ran my finger over them they are very raised up, you wouldn’t know unless you felt it but I’m hoping this will go down.

That sounds grate hunny . I’m having my first shower tomorrow can’t wait 9days .the stitch will dissolve we still have to be careful for the 6weeks so it has plenty of time and the scars will soften quick now there sealed .xx

Dont worry about the stitch it should disolve by your 6 weeks check its normal for them to still be there! i still had them at my post op appointment and had to have some removed it didnt hurt just meant i had to wait another 2 weeks to wear bras, bath and do exercise x

Aw em, bless you, sure it will be fine once you’re all cleaned up, I was told I can only shower every few days at first. I had one Saturday and one this morning, bit worries about my right scar though as above the scar is quite raised and a bit lumpy. Just gotta be patient! Xxx
