Scars…6 weeks post op

Hi girlies…im 6 weeks post op and just wondering how long it takes for the scars to fade (I had mine underneath in the crease)…you can only see them when I lie down… there still a dark purpley red colour and about 4cm each.i hope they dont stay like this : S .. Thank you xxx

hey hunny, no they dont stay like this, i am the same as you 6 weeks post op today but in another 2 months time they should fade into a red-white scar. mine are really tidy and dark red but they will soon fade xx

nadine moisturising ur scars will help too u can use bioil or cocobutter but speak to the nurse to see if u can start using the moisturiser as ur wound would need to be healed first to avoid any infection x

ahh thanks girls…im seeing my surgeon on the 11th so hopefully they will give me the go ahead to use bio oil!…so do you think it could take a year to heal?…i wonder if they will ever completly fade? xxx
