Hi ladies,
I’m 3 weeks post op and just have a quick question for any post-op ladies about scars/ incisions. All the pics I see on here seem to be neat and flesh coloured but mine still have stitches or scab or something on them ? I’m not worried about them being infected at all and have lots of dermatix to start putting on to help the scarring at 6 weeks but it’s getting me down how noticeable they are because of the red/brown bits. I have attached pics to show what I mean, did any of you ladies have this? If so when did they go all nice and pink? Not sure if it’s because I only had my dressing removed a week ago xx
Hi Laura. I’m not that far down the line as your 3 weeks post op but to me your incisions look good. Everyone heals different and I think the little dark bits is just scabbing and once that’s gone they will be lovely and neat. I wouldn’t worry xx
Hey Hun, I’m nearly 4wks po and ur ‘s look better than mine and my nurse says mine r healing great so I’m sure it’s fine.xx
Thanks for the replies ladies, that’s really reassuring to know. I think I was just being a bit impatient and expecting them to look perfect when the plasters came off ?? xxx
Hi Laura, I hope you don’t mind me jumping on your post, but I was wondering where you buy dermatrix from? I’m only 5days post op and haven’t even had my strapping removed but wanted to get prepared. I think your scars look really good and it’s not been that very long. Happy healing :)xx
Hi Maxine, I ordered mine directly from the website dermatix . co.uk as I wanted the 60g silicone gel but I know that some boots do sell the 15g gel in store or it’s on their website too ? If you go to the dermatix site have a look for voucher codes first as I found one for 30% off. Happy healing xxx
i just ordered some dermatix from amazon – £22 including delivery for 15g . If you want to order direct from website the 30% off code is ’30OFF’ x
Thank you Laura and Lucy I will order some . When can you start using it xx
I was told 6 weeks post op before you can put anything on scars so haven’t started using mine yet xxx
