Scars – ouch – not healing – 2 weeks post Op!!!

nearly 2 weeks post op had my steri strips taken off after 7 days new ones put on for 5 days now taken them off and soooo much pain it hurts so much where they are big and obviously rubbing skin on skin on the scars…

i hear so many stories and now worried they are not healing very well as i can still see some amountsof flesh – i do mean very minimal – do u think i should get more steri strips or allow the wound to heal – as im worried about infection??

thanks all – also do anyone feel that the whole of there chest feels sunburnt and very sore to touch

hi there – me too completely!

i am 3 weeks post op on thurs but i finish with steri strips tomorro but worried i need some more

and chest feels sunburnt/as thought shards of glass are being rubbed on it but apparently its normal.

i havent took painkillers for nearly 10 days but maybe you should take one just to ease it xx

yeh sheds of glass thats about right with me….

3 weeks post op and still steri strips – thats y im slightly worried nurse said10 days only…

these mya forums brilliant for info finding and guidedance but sometimes can worry u half to death – think ill get some steri strips 2moro and put them on for another week im sure will not do any harm…

yeah me too – i only got given 7 days worth last thursday and am no expert but they defo look like they still need covered up to me …no probs xx

i am the same i cant look at my scars as it freaks me out lol!! hope they are all healed soon!!
