    Hi girls,
had my breast aug 15 weeks ago and my scars are still very red. I love my boobs so much but I wish the red scars would go! Its making me fee a little insecure.
I have tried dermatix gel but does anyone else have any good things to use? I have heard the silicone strips are better than gels does anyone know if this is true?
Does anyone else have red scars still? I’ve seen loads of girls with perfect incisions who have had their boobs done after mine 🙁

I have attached a photo but it’s rubbish quality!

    xx

Hey hun I’ve been using kelo-cote-scar-gel-15g for a few months now as advised by my surgeon bur she said to use it for upto a year post op. So 15 wks is still quite early! Usually when trying products it can take threw months for them to make a change or ur skin to get used to it.

Six months post op mine were still quite pink around my nipple and my incisions on the crease are still quite dark but it really does take time.

Natural moisturisers like shea or cocoa butter do help to lighten the skin but make sure they’re 100% natural or have the ingredient listed quite close to the start as this indicates higher concentration of it.

Bio oil contains a lot of synthetic chemicals which I’d steer clear of and arnica cream is for bruising not scars.

Apply a high factor or total sun block when on holiday or in the sun because sun damage will make the scarring darker. Kelocote also do a silicone gel with spf 30 in it.

    Hi lovely @fran3

I will keep with the gel, I may try the silicone strips or switch to the kelo-cote-scar-gel. I have heard loads of reviews about it so might try that one instead and stick at it for up to a year!

I am using cocoa butter on my whole breast area but I may look for one as you said thats 100% natural as I’ve been using palmers which I can be sure isn’t 100% natural cocoa butter!

I went on holiday and put factor 50 sunblock on them so hopefully I didn’t do any damage to them, they were like this pre holiday so I am sure they are ok.

Thank you for your reply lovely, that’s really helpful xxx
