Hi looking for some advise on the wearing of seat belts after the op. I am having my op in Highgate and staying in a hotel nearby overnight, but then coming home the day after. I live in South Wales so looking at around a 3 hour drive home, do you have to wear a seat belt? My partner will be driving…….very carefully hopefully lol. But worried over wearing a seat belt, incase he brakes suddenly. Would you recommend not wearing one at all or trying to just get it around the waist?

Sounds like a really stupid question I know, but any advise would be great thanks ladies xx

Hiya, yes u have to wear a seatbelt. U need an actually medical certificate, ie for obesity etc to be exempt from seatbelt wearing hun.

It actually wasnt that uncomfortable xx

Well if u cant get it eound u yes. Lol.

U do need a medical exemption certificaite though. U cant just sit and say to the polie, im too fat.

Bottom line is. Its the law wear ya seatbelt, or risk not wearing it and pay a £30 fine or end up in court dependant on how police deal with it, and because uve had a boob job aint a let off unfortunately xx

Defo go with a soft pillow hun, I had my op on Wednesday and used a pillow, i was really worried about it but it was actually fine, couldn’t feel it at all. I’m now 6 days PO and left the pillow at home today for the first time. Xx

I used a V shaped pillow over my chest and put seatbelt over it. I travelled home the next morning. No pain or discomfort at all. Xx
