Has anyone had a second breast enlargement op? Does the surgeon cut the same incision area??? I’ve had a breast enlargement about 7 years ago and I’ve got the dreaded ripple effect and would preferably like mine larger now.

Hi, i,m having my 2nd ba on 29th sept with Mr Singh. Had my 1st one in 1996 and mine have rippled over the last few yrs, i put this down to weight loss and prob the placement and age of my implants (might be wrong tho), this time i,m hoping to have unders i had overs last time and like you would like to go larger. Think the surgeon will prob cut the same incision area yes but he,l tell u at ur consultation.. what size where you before 1st ba and what size are u hoping to be? x

when u say ripping girls what exactly do you mean? Im only 6/7 months post op and can sometimes feel ripples on the sides of the implants when i touch them, and the nurse said this was normal? will this get worse?? xx

Hi I’m 5 weeks post op going from 400cc overs to 560cc unders my first ba was 13 years ago. The surgeon did cut the same incision area, the scars are healing well and are really pencil thin.

Hey I am 1 week post op from my 2nd ba with Mr Adamo went from 380cc overs to 560cc overs, 2nd ba is so much easier i’ve had no pain and have be pretty much back to normal since coming out of surgery! I had my first ba a year before.

Jess, the rippling i have- can feel it and actualy see it if i bend forward. My weight tends to fluctuate, i lose weight rapidly if a bit down but then can easily put it back on again. The rippling is always more noticable 2 me after ive had a weight loss. Have only had the rippling for last few yrs tho..is ur weight stable or are u prone to go up and down with it? could account for it maybe..a surgeon i went to see a month ago when considering having him do my 2nd ba told me it was the age of the implants and my weight.. doubt if anything to worry about but would go back see ur surgeon if ur concerned hun xx

anniexxx, thnks for your reply. I have exactly the same thing, the ripple effect it started about 2 years after my operation. I think you are right it is down to weight fluctuation and sometimes exercise can also effect them if you’re not wearing the right support. Mine is in the clevage area. Before I had my op I was a 34a now I’m a 34d sometimes they go when it’s the time of the month! Was hoping to go a little larger whenever I have my next operation, my implants were the smallest ones available but now I’m ready for bigger implants but was just a little ooncerned about where the surgeon makes the incision – thanks annemarie that makes me feel much less worried!
