Seeing everyone's dates being changed

Hi girls,

I’ve seen countless posts now of people booking their surgery and 3/4 days before the surgery date MYA are ringing to make changes. This sounds quite scary, I don’t want to book time off work, gear myself up for the procedure to have someone call me a few days before and change the date. I don’t know why this is happening. I think its a bit cheeky because if you want to change your date you have to pay extra, but when they wish to change it, it doesn’t matter.

This is something that is worrying me as well because I am trying to fit my surgery around a very hectic life :s

I was worried about this myself. I’m not sure if it might be different MYA clinics and different surgeons etc but my MYA clinic is Newcastle and my surgeon was Dr Traynor. Each appointment I have had has never been changed and I just had my operation on Wednesday as planned. The whole overall process has been very organised with no changes for me. I had my PC consultation, Surgeon consultation, pre-op with the nurse and operation all within 2 weeks! I could not praise the service from MYA any more, they have been fab xx
