    Hi Girls,

I have booked in for a septorhinoplasty with Dr Erian for 14th June…so soon!! Have always wanted to do it and in the last few weeks I finally got the bottle to just go ahead and book it.

After looking on here I have seen so many stories about how awful it is and think I really need to prepare myself for this….can anyone give me a heads up with what to expect?

Im planning on returning to work after 10 days & really dont want to look like I have been totally beaten up…is there anything I can take to help reduce the bruising?

    Thanks

    Nikki x

    Hey Nikki,

I’m booked in with him today :) Like yourself I have to return to work in 2 weeks and I have a business trip the 3rd week. So a tight schedule myself, I’ll keep you posted if you like :)

Just remember no two people’s experience will be the same, we are heal and repair at different rates based on soooooo many factors. Just look at the most positive outcome and drive the universe toward it.

I’m nervous as hell but keep telling myself not to worry about things that haven’t happened yet and things I cannot change.

Take care and stay positive – remember it’s what you always wanted and fnally you are doing something about it. It’s my first surgery…I have wanted this for over 15 years (Lol giving my age away now) just never had the funds to do it earlier)…..

    Yay!!!!

Ahhh exciting, good luck hun! and yes please do keep me updated :) :)! Cant tell you how jealous I am, id finally been given the go ahead with time off work for 24th May but they fully booked so ive now got to wait a little longer. :(

This is true, I had a BA through MYA about 4 years ago now and my experience was great but I read so many stories on here from girls who had a really bad time with it, so like you said – everyone is different.

Have you been taking anything to reduce the bruising? I am just googling at the moment and have seen that arnica and montana supliments are meant to help?

Try not to be nervous – just think how amazing you will look soon! Hopefully you heal in time, this is the exact problem that I have! a full diary of events and work meetings to attend after I have had it done! Hey ho!

    GOOD LUCK x

    Hey Nikki,

I just posted an upate on my surgery on a new thread. You are safe safe hands with dr Erina. I had minimum bruising and I feel awesome. I am even able to breath from my nose and its Saturday. I had Surgery on Thursday. He didn’t give me antibiotics and even called me after his surgery before I was discharged to make sure I knew why etc.

I hardly have any bruising, a lot less than I was expecting, I suggest you do a cold press as soon as you can from the next day to keep the swelling down. I just used a face towel which I put in the freezer and sometimes a bit of ice.

There hasn’t been much bleeding or gunk, I feel great. Apart from feeling a bit blocked up – like you would if you had hayfever.

I hope your recovery is as positive as mine …keep me posted and all the best sweets x

    Hi girls

I think some of the stories are scary as it depends what people had done, and I think the person’s healing ability!

I had open rhino with cartridge graft, and it was during the really cold weather ( early feb ), and found the recovery hard, I’ve just turned 44 too!

It’s so worth having done though. I was back to work very quickly but luckily was able to work from home for a few days. I also flew to Scotland a couple of days before I was supposed to but had no ill affects.

Go for it you’ll love it x
