Hi im 2 days post op and was just wondering if anyone else has suffered with really bad stomach bloating? I feel like I have a pregnant belly and my thighs seem bigger also I feel so fat, if anyone has had same side effect from anaesthetic I would much appreciate hearing when it started to go away :) xxx

Yes yes I had it and I had no idea it was a side effect. I’m still unsure whether it’s the general anaesthetic or the pain killers that causes it. All I know is I lost seven pounds to have my op and in three days it was all on again. It will calm down and lots of girls will tell to it’s normal. BUT watch what you are eating. You are not exercising like before and you will put on weight and lose tone. Watch for the urge to eat kit Kats and crunchies because you’ll regret it in four weeks like me. I was my perfect weight but now my appetite is ravenous and my thighs are thunderous! Learn from me xxxx

I don’t miss that bloated feeling, it was horrible. Even drinking just water made my belly tighter and massive. I took a movical and feel sooo much better :) x

Thanks nice to know I’m not the only one my belly sticks out further than my new boobies :) I have not been too bad with food at the moment I only have to look at my stomach and I’m instantly put off food. I dare not get on the scales yet I know I’m going to have gained weight with my boobs but think I will see how much that is when my huge belly has gone. It’s also constipation codeine clogs you up terrible :) xx

Were you put on a drip to keep you hydrated?

Just to let u know I suffered the same symptoms for the first week, the second week was still rough. Week three start to live normally but trouble sleeping and depression from looking at scars. But today is my week four mark and I feel really good and can sleep better and a little bit on my side for a few mins for a cuddle with my husband. So there is light at the end of your tunnel. Week one is bad so don’t feel bad xxxx

Thank you I’m really worried about seeing my scars at the moment they are so sore I just hope they are heeling up ok.

Has anyone else been feeling really sick? Xx

hi Jessica, I had the bloating and felt seriously sick and crappy for 3 weeks..woke up one morning and it had all gone..however I think I’m the only one that has managed to lose 6 lbs since my ba..mostly due to the fact that I couldn’t stomach eating anything more than a couple of mouthfuls..and I’m still not back to normal… just gone 4 wks since op x everyone is different but U’ll be fine
