Hey everybody, im going to book my consultaion soon and i would just like to hear everyones Boob job experience. I will be going to the glasgow hospital
Mya were very informative and helpful, if a little pushy during my consultation process, which was really quick (3 weeks from initial consult to op lol). The minute I met my surgeon, Mr. Kazzazi I was happy and didn’t feel the need to meet with any others from other companies etc. I couldn’t book right there and then because I hadn’t sorted finance. So that day i sent off the forms to First medical loans, who later declined me (although i joint applied with my oh they said as i get paid in euros they couldn’t accept my income!!! and he doesn’t earn enough on his own). So I rang to tell my PC that it was all off as i couldn’t get finance, and then she managed to talk them into loaning us part of the money. 2 days later we managed to scrape together the rest. So I went ahead and booked my op. In all I had – 1 consultation with my PC, consultation with Mr. Kazzazi, pre-op check with the nurse, and then it was time for my op.
The morning of the op, the hospital staff were great and attentive. I was admitted at 10am. The nurse came and checked my stats, gave me a theatre gown and stockings etc and explained what would happen through the day. After that the anaeshatist came to see me and talk through what he would be doing. Then Mr. K came in to see me, I signed the consent forms, had a final chat about size and shape, he did his fancy drawing on my chest and 5 mins later a chap came to walk me down to theatre. I remember them chatting to me, then putting the needle in my arm, and that was it, i was gone. Came round shaking in the recovery room then zonked out again. Was back in my room by 3pm.
I was very hazy after this, kept drifting in and out of sleep. They were checking on me every 30 mins for the next 2 hours, and then it all went downhill.
The nurses had switched to night staff at 5pm i think and my nurse had forgotten to order me any food. So 7pm comes and the girl next door (also a BA) gets her dinner. The catering lady comes in and says oh you didn’t order food right? I said well i wasn’t asked, but I’m hungry so i’d love dinner. Well she had an attitude and acted put out by this and said she’d see what she could find as the kitchens were now closed. So she comes back with a ham sandwich on dried up old bread. I explained that I’m veggie and it was in my notes etc. She acted really pissed off at this point and said all she could do was some toast. So 30 mins later she comes back with a rack of toast and a couple of those boxes of butter. But she left them on the table out of arm reach of my bed!!!!!!!!!! So I had to sit and wait for my other half to come back from his ciggie and coffee (lucky he was with me), to butter the toast for me and find some milk for the tea which she had not bothered to bring
Well 9pm comes and I’m furious already because I’m a day case and had been there since 10am… well i mention to the nurse that i’ve been here all day, i STILL haven’t got my meds which they had gone to find over 6 hours earlier, and I’m STARVING! She looked at me like i was an idiot, said sorry but they were the night staff and couldn’t do anything about it, the kitchen was closed etc. I was crying by this point so she said ok i’ll get you some soup. So I got some soup finally, and then another HOUR and a half later I finally got to go back to the hotel. Hotel kitchen was of course closed by this point, and stupid me had managed to book into the most popular hotel in the centre of doncaster on a saturday night, so spent the entire night wide awake listening to very loud scousers running up and down the hotel corridors and banging doors.
NOT a good afternoon, and TERRIBLE service from Park Hill hospital, Doncaster.
I’m now 11 days post op and luckily have had no real pain, just irritation from the surgical tape, and a reaction to the antibiotics. Boobs seem to be progressing well. They change so much every day!
Had no call from my nurse after the op as was promised, although every time i’ve rung the emergency line the on call nurses have been brilliant. No call from my PC – think they only care about you until you’ve paid your money tbh, but i half expected that, they are primarily a sales company after all. More annoyed with the hospital as I DID expect proper care the whole time i was there, including such basic things as feeding me.
Well there ya go, my BA experience.
wow that went really quickly, i was thinking i would have months from the consultation till the op lol.
Im sorry to hear you had such bad service at the hospital, i hope you complained to the staff manager. I bet your just glad its all over and you have your new boobs. I will be making sure they take my meal order when i go in as i get grumpy when hungry lol. I cant believe you did not have your meds waiting for you. Its a shame you had such a terrible time.
Yeah I know, apart from that the whole experience was good. Some girls have a much longer wait between their initial consult and the op, it all depends on if you want to see other surgeons/ companies, your finance, and when there is space to book in. I wanted mine done asap before the summer really kicks in, and was lucky enough to find the money pretty quick
your really lucky to get it done now, soon you will be able to flaunt them in a bikini. I want to save half the money if i can then pay the rest over the 12 months. I just cant wait to feel more confident, i have a 19months old and after breastfeeding my body has not been the same.
I have had a fantastic experience, I know newboobies had a right rough time at Doncaster but mine couldnt have been any different.
Went for my initial meeting with PC and seen Mario Russo the next day, who is fantastic! Had a great chat about what i was looking for, he gave me loads of info and showed me pics of his work. Decided on a size and went back to see PC to finalise details. Had a call 3 days later offering me the 7th June and I took it. This was then changed to the 6th June and then the 8th of June so was a bit of confusion and this is the only thing i got a little peeved with. My PC,however, sent me a bunch of flowers as an apology even though it was not her fault.
So 8th June (yesterday!) i travelled down to First Trust Hospital in Preston checked in at 7.30am. Mr Russo came to see me at 8.45 to have a chat and confirm sizes etc and do drawings. I was taken to theatre at 10.30 and was back in my room at 11.45. The staff were so helpful and could not do enough for me and my hubby bringing him cuppas throughout the day. I had a bowl of soup at 1pm and then some salmon and salad at 2pm followed by desert. Once I was checked over and drains removed, I was given m meds and was allowed to leave at 4.30pm. I absolutely loved my whole experience yesterday and had a follow up call today of mya nurse making sure i was ok and had no issues and she confirmed my follow up appointment for next week x
