I had a consultation with Transform today, which has left me feeling very down. The PC was lovely, but the surgeon left me feeling degraded.
I am a very fit 47 year old. I’m broad shouldered (through swimming, cycling and skating), 5ft 10” and weigh 156lb. I’m currently wearing a 36c bra and want an enlargement due to loss of fullness after breastfeeding and weightloss.
I wasn’t shown any before and after pictures, I had previously said that I would not consider an uplift as the scarring would be an issue (and I honestly don’t think i need one as 20lbs heavier my boobs ‘sat up’ very nice). Mr Ottiavani measured me and then just passed me an implant to put in my already plush fitting bra and said ’would you be happy with that?’. I told him that I could not possibly make a decision on that basis (he hadn’t said what size the implants were or what size I would likely to be afterwards).
Mr Ottiavani then said that the maximum I could end up with was a D or an E (I was planning for an F/G and he said that my right breast would still remain slightly larger that my left (he never suggested two different sized implants to even them up).
I’m seeing Mr Traynor (MYA – Newcastle), on Sept 8th. I’m really hoping for a much better experience otherwise I think that I will just make me accept what I have.

Suzanne I had exactly the same experience with Transform, please don’t feel disheartened. Dr Khan at Transform was very distracted during my consultation, advised 525cc maximum, and was similar to Mr Ottiavani by the sounds of it! Very rushed and unprofessional. Dr Singh at MYA London Fitzroy was absolutely amazing. I’ve had 550cc taking me from a 36C to 36F. I booked a second consultation to go over the sizes with him again, and he happily obliged, said take your time, and allowed me to ask as many questions as I needed. Go with your heart, and look forward to the consultation with Mr Traynor. I’ve heard good reviews, let me know how you get on honey xoxo

Yes definitely see other surgeons! Even with Mya, see 2-3 of them if you can. Every one of them is good but different depending on which one you prefer. No one is rushing you.. Don’t let anyone pressure you. Ask everything you need to know, don’t be shy.
Dr Singh was mine, and I’m happy with his care. Do your research, and good luck;)

Your experience with Transform is exactly the same as mine, and im sure that’s the surgeon I saw aswell. He spent more time looking at his phone than helpingme out – I jst thought he was terrible. I saw Mr Traynor a few weeks ago and I’m booked to have my surgery with him in two weeks. He is lovely, you’ll have a much better experience than with Transform. I felt at ease straight away. Just ask as much as possible. x

Hi. I have a friend that is going through her third corrective surgery with Transform. Would NEVER use them!!! I was recommended Mr Traynor as he was great and also realistic. I’m booked in with Mr Traynor in Oct. he explained everything clearly and offered me three different sizes according to my weight and build. I’m sure you’ll be happy with him xx

Hi hun, I went for my first ever consultation at transform and the surgeon there didn’t make me feel comfortable at all! Was very blunt and didn’t make it feel like a personal or professional experience for me at all! I felt like just another number walking through the door! I seen Mr Traynor at MYA and it went a lot better, felt a lot more professional but still wasn’t 100% sure so booked in to see Mr Mounir too and I absolutely loved him! Felt 100% comfortable and he was very professional and thorough, lovely personality too 🙂 I had my surgery with him 17 days ago 🙂 xx
