should i take holiday or give a sick note for work?

hi im hoping to have a boob job in may but not sure if i should take it as holiday or give in a sick note.

i took mine as holiday as its like a self inflicted absence, up to you really though, they might realise what yv been doing when you go back with yr new boobies lol

Hiya Naomi, i took leave which was good as when i got back to work (i’m a civil servant) i found out that i wasnt actually entitled to sick pay because it was cosmetic sugery and no medical reason for it! I would assume your job would be the same! Yeah they will def notice, ha and you wont be able to stop yourself showing of your new babies!!! be careful lifting tho! x

i told them worl and got a sick note on day of op work were great very supportive x

im takin a 3 week hoilday as i work at the hospital and do a lot of manual handling . better to be honest with your employers . i was lucky as mine as my have first hand experience with surgery and recovery time .
