After my surgery yesterday, Mr. Adamo said that I could wash my hair and take a shower/bath right away, as the bandages he uses are waterproof. I am dying to freshen up, but heard that most surgeons make you wait a week to shower so you don’t get your sutures wet. Any advice?!!!

hmm – i wasnt allowed to shower whilst i was taped up for a week. then i was told i couldnt shower after that for 3 days whilst steri strips were on so i was just kneeling in a shallow bath and used a flannel to wash x

I had Mr Kazzazi and am currently taped up, the nurse that discharged me said i could sit in a bath of shallow water and use a very well wrung out flannel to wash avoiding tape area.

Hi Galatie, I was in yesterday with MR Adamo too. Hope you don’t mind me asking but are you wearing a bra to support them as I forgot to ask him and the nurse said to try to wear one today.

Hi Girls, I too had Mr Adamo and went with everything he said. I also had the waterproof plasters on and showered every day from day 1 post op. They are absolutely fine and dont lose stickiness at all. I had my plasters taken off yesterday and my scars are healing very well! The scar is in the crease perfectly so very well done Mr Adamo! I also havent really worn a bra… I did try to but to be honest I felt much comfier without it. I only tried to wear it to stop any sagginess but of course thats stupid of me to think they they would go saggy so quick! I go back to work on Monday so ill wear one for work as will feel weird without, but will take it off when I go home.

    Hope that helps Galatie? xx
