I’m 20days post op tomorrow and am finally allowed my first shower, I remember the nurse telling me not to get the incisions wet so does this mean I still can’t properly wash my boobs just baby wipe them? I also asked about putting bio oil on them to stop stretch marks and she said no not until 6 weeks, has anyone else been told this? xxx

Did your nurse say no shower for that long at your 2 week post op? I was allowed to shower on day 6 and get incisions wet.. Crazy how it’s so different for us all. I got told bio oil was day when I asked at day 6 on the boobs but not on the incision scar itself until 6 weeks xx

I’m nearly 8 weeks PO …here’s a list of the things you can do after 6 weeks PO ….You can pretty well do most things after your six weeks assessment . If the nurse is happy with your progress you can , use bio oil on your incision , have a bath , go to the spa , go swimming and do gentle exercise at the gym ,but no heavy weights . Also you can wear a bras

Yep @Ellie I went for my 1 week post op check up and had convinced myself I was going to able to shower that night after reading everyone’s experience on the forum and she said no showers for another week, so I mentioned a lot of people had been having them 1 week post op and she said I think we all need to advise everyone of the same thing but I’m advising not for another week, so then I went for my second post op check and she said I had to keep the dressing on for 5 days and then I can shower as long as nothing is on the dressings fluid wise and I don’t get the incisions wet. Have you been using bio oil on your boobs? xx
