My first check up is at 10days post op, does this mean I can’t shower until I’ve seen the nurse?! I’m having shallow baths and getting someone to wash my hair but it’s so hard not to get little dribbles running down and then I freak out about the dribbles getting on my dressings…the stress of it all!!!! I’m 7days post op x

Don’t worry bout the dressing if they get a dribble on Hun, I’m 8 days po and just had my dressings taken off. They said I can shower properly at day 14, try not to worry Hun xx

Fraid so hun :( no showers till youve seen the nurse! I use to put my head of the bath and wash my hair 1st!!!! then have a shallow bath! I use to hold a dry towel or flannel over my boobs to catch any dribbles!!!! only 3 days left hun!!! i wasnt allowed to shower for 2 weeks either!!!!!!

Its a pain but worth it to lower the risk of infection

I’m 15 days post op and still not allowed to shower as incision under left boob not healed so may have infection. I sit in shallow bath then kneel in it and was my hair bent forward. Pain in the bum. Just want to feel clean without the use of baby wipes!!

I was told at my pre op with the nurse that I could shower because the dressings would be waterproof ones and just to dry them both with separate clean towels so I don’t cause an infection. My ops not until Sept.
