Sickness with anti-biotics

Had my BA yesterday and other than a bit of swelling and acheyness i felt ok then i had to start my antibiotics today – managed 2 so far but felt terrible and had the 3rd was sick straight away – has anyone had this? Vic xxx

I’ve felt sick when taking them too, haven’t been sick though. Try eating before taking them that helped me x

Are you eating before taking them cause having them on empty stomach made me sick x

Yes I’ve been really sick on them too but have found if I have a meal then take one it’s a lot better. X

You defo have to eat before taking them or you will feel sick and drowsy x

I keep being sick too hun , whether I’ve eaten or not. The cocodomal was making me sick too . X x

i stopped taking the antibiotics on wednesday after being up all night – i took them several times so had an empty stomach but also took them after food as well and it didnt make any difference 🙁 the nurse told me to stop but said keep an eye on anything changing. Felt better since not taking them and just been making sure everything is really clean. xx

Antibiotics are just a precaution anyway, the nurse told me that on discharge. We also do the same for dental implants, it’s not essential if you know what I mean. If they are making you so ill then sometimes they don’t help much. I stopped mine after day 3, I stopped absolutely everything because It was all making me very poorly. Cut down to ibuprofen and I was fine by day 5. Listen to your body, you know best! Xxxx
