Silicone leaks?

have been looking on Sofem website and there is a raging discussion about PIP implants and ruptures. Now, I know that MYA don’t use these, but was wondering if any of you paid for the more expensive and better quality implants with lifetime not 10 year guarantee. Also I know most people on this forum had BAs done recently but do any of you know people who’ve had ruptures & silicone leaks?

Don’t mean to be doom and gloom or put people off, as I’m still going ahead! just want to be as well informed as possible.

i stopped going on sofem because i was reading negitive comments on there and i nearly didnt go ahead because of it!
some times too much reasearch can be bad.

ive not heard of any leakages with the implants that mya use. speak to your surgeon and they will explain the implants to you

I think you can keep these implants in for longer than 10 years! A lady had these implants in and was in a car crash which left the implant nearly cut in half, she got them replaced a couple of years later when she could afford it, these implants don’t leak!!

My surgeon said there is no need to change the implants that mya use medically. He said u might want to change them because of the natural ageing process of ur skin ( boobies going saggy) but there is no medical reason to change them ever. Also there is another thread about the other implants is it FDA implants on this forum. They r the best for america cus they have been but up to a board of fda for checking there safety etc. The ones mya use hasnt been put up on that particular board so it doesnt mean they r inferia they just havnt been checked on that particular board. The ones that mya use r the best in europe and the uk so fink we can safely say we r safe with our implants xx

I have been on so fem today and read about the implants, its worried me a little. My BA is next wednesday,i think im gonna keep away from so fem for the next week. I have waited years for my BA and dont need to be reading horror stories so close to my op!

Cath i know im only 2 wks post op but i cant rate mya and my whole ba experience higher enough. I jealous of u having urs done if it didnt cost sooooo much i would do it again just for the experience xx Good luck ur b fine xx

emmatyler! thats exactly what my surgeon told me with Transform!! he said implants are for life!! and its up to you if you change them!! usually down to changng shape in your own body etc!! but the implants will stay the same!!

the implants mya use dont leak. Its more of like a gel inside them than a liquid. you could cut the whole impant in half and it would stay in two pieces. xx
