    can i do sit ups 5 weeks post op, had a check up last week and he said i could do light exercise do you think sit are classed as that? i had an uplift? thanks x

    I waited till week 12 to do the sit ups,it drove me bonkers,but i didnt want to do anything to spoil the healing,they may look ok from the outside but they are still healing inside so you dont want to strain anything when your doing so well,xxx

    thanks tina i thought that was prob the case , you know what its like thought when your gagging to get to the gym! im growing by the day:( be worth the wait though! xx

    Tell me about it,it was a nightmare I get up at 4am to exercise everyday,only do 30 mins,then the same again in the evening,done it for 20 years,and to be told nothing strenuous was tough,I was itching to get back to normal,lol,know how you feel hun,

    i started back sit ups at 6 weeks post opp hun, but i was back in the gym at 4 weeks post opp too xx

    i’m doing sit ups now at 3.5 wks post op, keeping my hands crossed over my boobs, doing it really gently and making sure im using my tummy only to pull myself up and down, ive been fine and i had an uplift too. i’ve been in the gym doing very careful cardio, low intensity like gentle upright cycling and walking for about 1.5 weeks now as well, just havent done anything to strain myself or my boob area at all xx
