    I am now 5 days post-op what is the reason for sitting up sleeping and how long for ? Must have a mushy brain !!!!

    You have to sleep sitting up for the first 7 to 10 days…. Once you have yr 7 day check with the nurse she will tell you if you can lie down properly or not…. think it’s to do with them settling properly and also if you do lie down you will find that it’s painful then in the morning when you get up….. it’s a right pain trying to sleep sitting up isn’t it??? All these things will be worth it when you see the final results though….

    hey girls, im 8days post op. i went to see the nurse today, she didnt mention anything about the position i have been sleeping in, my surgeon didnt give me any advice on what position to sleep in either…like and idiot i also forgot to ask!! anyways as i read on here before my op about sleeping upright i have been doing it, but OMG isnt it a nightmare?? i wonder if and when it is ok to sleep on your side?? i always sleep in the fetal position but am scared i will get wonky boobs if i do that!! any advice?? xx

    Hi Christy i see the nurse tomorrow so i will ask her for both of us i can’t believe how forgetful we become . How is you recovery ?

    Sue & Christy- During my medical with the nurse, she says that I must lay propped up to help with the swelling. I am guessing that if you feel that the assets has settles well, you can now sleep as normal or probably a little propped up that your normal sleeping style to help make you feel a bit more comfortable. 8)

    Hey Sue thanks my love that would be really helpful…they may say that cant give advice for me as they cant see me but its worth a try.

    Keepmesweet: how long are you post op?? and do you mean if i think my boobs feel settled i could possibly sleep on my side?? im not sure if they feel settled becuse im still very conscious not to hurt them are wobble them too much, but im not in and have nver ben im any pain with them. :) xxx
