I have a mere SIX DAYS ONLY to recover and get back to work after my op everyone hopefully none the wiser. I have no other option that to do this, only day ive managed to get off without a sickie being pulled is my op date. Am I going to be easily mobile? I have quite a good pain thresh hold, I think?!! Eeep!

I hun had my op yesterday so far been pain free! If I do stretch my arms though I do get pain but don’t have any constant pain! It depends what Job you do? Will it involve a lot of moving? Fingers crossed you’ll be one of the lucky ones x

I know I really hope, fingers crossed, its going to be ok. At the moment im working in an office but also have a little cleaning job every morning before that, so will involve quite a bit of moving about, as little as I can possibly get away with :) I will also have to drive on day 6 to get to my jobs, think I may be pushing my leuck everso slightly, eeep! Ive tried to think of any other story and possibility of getting out of work for a few more days but cant be done :( My thresholds always been pretty good. How long are you given painkillers for? Seen so many comments on girls feeling sick and dizzy. Hope you are happy with ur op so far? Must be relieved its all done :( x

Hey thanks for reply. I work at the moment in an office but have a morning daily cleaning job too, so will include quite alot of moving about :( Just really hope im lucky as there really is nothing I can do. I will also have to drive on day 6 to get to my work. Ive tried to think of every excuse under the sun that may work. I was meant to have my op a while ago and all my recovery time was sorted but they couldnt go through with it last minute (half an hour before op) due to some tablets my gp put me on and so everything went a bit wrong from there. How long do they give you painkillers for? these may be my god send! Hope u r happy with your new you, well done x

When is your opp? Are you having over or under muscle?

I had my opp on Tuesday & wasn’t prepared how ill I will feel afterwards :(

I feel dizzi, sick, weak & in agony… I was hoping to be bak to normal by Monday, but to be honest I don’t see it happening… If I was you I would have plan “B” just in case you can’t return to work on day 6th..

    Good luck! xx

My op is on tuesday and its under the muscle, I know this is meant to be worse for healing, right? Ive got one days work holiday (day of op) and then im ‘sick’ for the rest of it untill I can get back to it asap. This wasnt the plan as my op was meant to be a while back but got cancelled half an hour before because my nurse didnt realise how strong some antibitoics I was on were and the surgeon declined to proceed so all now is a rush and shambles. I shall work on my plab B :~ Shall check the insurance, thankyou, didnt even think of that, should probably check the painkillers for driving too, thankyou girls x

Hey, i took 2 weeks of sick as MYA provided me with a note for the surgery. It didnt have details just said “private breast surgery” and they even gave me a copy without letter heading. I really would give it 2 weeks if you can. This is what the surgeon will suggest too. and it is good advice!

I only have an office job too but there is no way i could have gone back to work on day 7. I couldnt even put seatbelt on or put my car into reverse on day 7 lol

It really isnt worth risking damaging your implants after spending all that dosh on them.

I’m giving it 8 days before work again – I’m an optician – but I’m 3 days post-op now (410cc overs) and feeling fine. In no pain. Mild stiffness and discomfort. Walked about 7 miles today no probs. As long as you try to keep active, you’ll be fine. It’s when you sit and do nothing for hours that everything starts to tense up

Definitely try to get as much time off as possible, do what jellybean13 did! Especially take extra time off from your cleaning job! Even if your not in pain and you feel well, you don’t want to use your muscles too much as the implant hasn’t had time to settle in place and heal yet! Your paying a lot of money for your new boobs, so you need to do everything you can to make sure they turn out the best they can! X
