I had my ba yesterday just wanted to know are u supposed to sleep sitting up abit not completely flat? Xxx
Get a v pillow, it lifts you up, makes it more bearable xx
I mid read question, not completely flat, I was told to use pillows etc to support back as keep you on that position xx
You don’t have to sleep sat straight up, like you were in the hospital slightly up x
My nurse at Highgate said it’s recommended that you sleep propped upright as much as possible, just to help with the swelling but not so that it’s uncomfortable or hurts your back and if you slide down flat when you’re asleep it’s okay but be careful when trying to get back up 🙂 xx
Ah I see so its just for the swelling not the implants moving ?? Xxx
I asked that because that’s what I thought and she said it’s just to help with the swelling, still makes you dead paranoid when you can feel them moving though! 🙂 xxx
I slept upright and my back killed this morn, I have a v pillow which is helpful but I am sleeping mid way tonight as I had no sleep hardly and I was told it reduces swelling as well xx
I found sleeping with the V pillow really hurt my back.. think its because there’s no support in the middle so your back is left under pressure.. felt a lot better when I put some softer pillows behind my back with a hot water bottle and sometimes a pillow under my bum to straighten me out a bit. I was sleeping flat by 4 days post op and when my nurse from mya rang to see if I was okay and how I was getting on, she said it was fine 🙂 xx
