I think the MYA paperwork only says 7-10 days but then it also said no alcohol for 2 days and they told me a week, and they said no ibuprofen for 2 weeks but that wasn’t on list at all. So I guess whatever they say add a few more days on to it! How is it sleeping upright? I am v funny about my sleep as it is, I can’t sleep on my back as it is so I don’t know how I will manage!

If you desperately need to take the macom off for a while to wash or whatever, I got some sports bras in Asda for £4 that do up at the back, not ideal but as it was only to put on for a few hours I thought they’d do as substitutes x

Oh my goodness, sleeping hasn’t even entered my head!!!! I’m a total nightmare, I always sleep on my front, don’t think I’ll cope :s. How have I not thought of this??!! Xx

Too excited to think about anything other than what you’ll wear post op if you’re anything like me. I had a panic when I realised I was only 3 weeks away and started getting lists together of what I can and can’t do. My mum reminded me the other day I won’t even be able to lift the kettle to make tea for a week and that she’d pop round on the way to work and make me a thermos, then it started to hit home a bit! I have got a v pillow which I hear makes sleeping more comfortable x

It doesn’t hurt emzzy. I had mine out yesterday. I was so scared thinking it would take ages and il be getting pulled about. She pulled the small steri strip off which hardly hurt and then slid the stitch out. It was one bit if wire so it wasn’t all separate stitches. It was nothing to worry about at all. I feel a bit lighter now. Not worrying about the stitches anymore. X x

EMZZY… i had problems with my drains that during my over night stay I actually pulled the left one out :( still painful a week on and drain obviously were only in one night.

kassandra, your boobs will still change quite a bit over the next few weeks hun, mine didnt really look like they do now, until about 8/9 weeks, theyve stayed the same pretty much since.

I had drains too..looking back, i think thats what caused me most pain when I started to sleep on my side x
