The advice I got from my surgeon was to keep my bra on night and day for 8 weeks. I’m now 4 weeks post op and 3 nights ago I’d had enough and whipped it off to sleep. I had the best sleep ever but I’m worried I’m doing some damage. What’s your thoughts girls?

I never stopped wearing a sports bra for bed and never will. I had my op 23 march. I just want to keep them perky for as long as possible really. X

I know, I want mine to stay perky too, but I’m such a grumpy cow when I dont get a good sleep! I haven’t worn anything in bed since I was about 8, it drives me nuts! I’m just going to have to try and get used to it. Thanks girl XX

I was told by Mr Adamo not to bother so didn’t wore a bra for two weeks whislt in the house resting… maybe because I have smaller ones or its the way he sews them up? either way felt much more comfortable in nothing!

Hey, I havent wore a bra in bed since pretty much day one.. was mega worried about it digging my scars & didnt find it comfy either.. I personally bought a few support vests.. that way at least I am still getting some sort of support while lying there! hope that helps xx

I think asda have some really nice support vests in grey, black and white with moulded built in support (non underwired) really nice, i’m going to get some when i’m mended xx

You could get two girls having the exact same procedure but are given different advice because they have different surgeons – so I don’t think either option can be damaging, it just seems to be the surgeon’s preference xx

I wear sports bra all the time in bed but i was wearing my £5 cheapy from tesco, BIG mistake! I’ve discovered the Shock Absorber high impact bra (bought originally for me at gym) and I sleep in that now. It’s tight but not uncomfortable and the next morning when i take it off my boobs are round and perfect! It’s also amazing for the gym, jump aroud and nothing moves! x

Hi izzy, see link below, it wasn’t cheap but i like to run so think it’s worth the money but now i sleep in it too. I bought mine in JD Sport as tried on a few sizes. It is amazing, wish i’d worn it staright after op!
