Try lowering the pillows and see how you feel, if it hurts in the morning then go back to sleeping upright for a bit longer x

I’ve not spoken to anyone. It takes 2 days to get hold of a nurse even on the emergency line! I am seeing nurse on Friday. Day 10 though to have my stitches removed. X x

Just wonder how upright do you have to sleep after surgery? and why is this – pain or swelling etc? X

45 degree angle due to swelling x

Does that help reduce it? Do hot/cold compressions work also? X

Yes it helps. Cold compress for the first 48 hours and warm after 48 hours. I was swollen for over 2 weeks and hot water bottles under my arms worked wonders x
