sliicone dressings

has anyone used the silicone dressings for helping with scars and wud u recommend it? do u have to use the silicone gel with it?

I have the gel and the sheets.. You can use either one or both.. I have both so I cos gel is more convenient and the sheets I think would be more effective..

were u advised not to use by ur surgeon or did they say yes and when did u start using it i bought the sheets do u just cut to size and cover the scars? how long shud i use it ? do u think one sheet will be enough? im bombarding everyone with questions now cos im getting sooo scared and excited sorry if im torturing everyone xx im a bit no a lot comfused lol xx

Dr Singh had not recommend it or not… He just said speak to my nurse about it.. My first ba, my surgeon recommend it n which I bought it off him as well..

I read up it’s 3/4 weeks po.. Is the best time to use it. You need to use it at least a month to see results.. I’m 3.5 weeks po and started using the gel.. I will start using the sheets in a couple weeks.. You should hav instructions with them.. Yeah u cut them to size n gradually use them for a couple hours a day up to 12hrs a day. And they are reusable so whenever they stop been sticky u throw them out. You can use them on old or new scars so doesn’t matter how long until your happy with results.. x
