SMALL implants-190 or 230cc unders-advice?!

Hi girls,

I just had my consultation today with mr chantarasak and I’m really struggling to decide what size to go for. He was very abrupt in the consultation so I’m not 100% sure he knows exactly the look I want and need some reassurance.

I’m 5 ft 7, approx 32A, size 6-8, about 8st but I have a very small torso-size 4 or even smaller waist. I want to be more in proportion ’cause I’m a pear shape but still want to have SMALL breasts. I mainly want a nicer shape to mine but still want to be small. Mr chantarasak recommended 320cc high profile unders (too narrow torso for low profile) but I went back to talk to him again because I was worried this would be too big and he said I could have 190 instead, but didn’t offer much guidance, just told me to do the rice test. Have done that and the 190 seems fine and 230 seems to big but I’ve heard that you should go for the implant size above the one you like the look of in your bra…

Is anyone a similar size and had either 190s or 230s? And if so, could I see some pics? And any advice about the rice test? How does it compare to after surgery?

Well im very petite (girl like infact) size 6 clothes 5’1. I was a 32A n didnt feel womanly so went for the BA

Was offered 300 320 or 340 unders. I tried them on at my consultation under a vest top n the 340’s seemed massive so chose the 320’s. However after people going on about boob greed n you loose some with unders etc etc i rang n changed to the 340’s.

3 weeks post op n so glad i did, you would never know id had a boob job they so natural n in proportion to my body and dont look massive on me, just perfect

Thanks Chery! How does the actual implant size post op compare to the implant size/rice in your bra? I’m quite confused now because you are quite a bit smaller than me and had a bigger size and yet you say they look in proportion. And everyone else seems to be having 300+ too, yet even 230 seems massive to me! I really can’t imagine what they will look like. Do you have pics by any chance?

I haven’t had a BA yet, but just wanted to say that i thought the same about Mr C!

Im same size as you, 6-8, just under 8st, and 32a! I told him, i wanted a natural look- but wanted a DD cup! He offered me 260cc overs/ or 300cc unders- and said that would be the maximum!

I really didnt feel comfortable speaking to him, very straight talking!! I felt like 5 minutes wasn’t really long enough to speak about the whole thing!!

Well that makes sense then if he suggested 300cc under for a DD cup, ’cause I’d be wanting to be a B/C.

I’m trying not to be put off by his manner because he’s very experienced and apparently does really good work and is good for the natural look. I trust that he knows his stuff but I’m not sure he got a clear idea of exactly what I wanted, but I figured I would probably get more reassurance by talking to other girls anyway. Are you going to go ahead? Who’s your patient co-ordinator? ’cause you could talk to them and ask them to go in with you and chat to him for you-that’s what I did the second time to make sure I got answers to my question! xx

Hi Excelle, i havent done any pics yet but i did try putting one on ere but proved so much hassle as you have to resize your pics. I will get some pics sorted tonite n i can email to you if you send your address or can put a private album on face book.

I tried the rice test but you cant really get a feel for the size n id say the rice boobs look bigger than the real thing.

One thing i woulod say is Mr Traynor is a little straight to the point but he knows his stuff and like boobs to be natural. He actually said to me with my frame you dont wanna go massive n i agreed n said no i wanna be in proportion but be able to buy clothes that i like n not put them back coz i have no boobs!!

When he measures you he will immediatley know how big you can go n will give you various options of size. I trusted him n its paid off. My boobs are still in recovery but allready look great xx

If the rice test looks bigger then I may well go for the 230s then. I haven’t really heard of anyone going as small as 190 either…if you wouldn’t mind emailing that would be so great! My email is starforsaken@hotmail.co.uk. Or you could put them on a private album-whatever is easiest for you.

Faye, would it be ok for me to look at your pics once you have some?

Louise, I’m obviously no expert but the type of implant and the placement chosen by your surgeon should give you a natural look-even really big implant sizes can look natural-you don’t necessarily have to go small. Did you tell your surgeon you wanted to look natural? Because they won’t have suggested something that would look unnatural on your frame.

Yes that was the first thing I said, I wanted a natural look and as I’m tall he said I could go bigger but that wasnt what I wanted. My real concern is as I’m so skinny on top, my rib cage is visable, I dont want to big balls and look fake.

I think as it’s so close I’m just starting to worry & thinking I may need to buy a new wardrobe afterwards

I know how you mean with visible rib cage, i use to have that. It took 2 kids to disguise it n only just im still skinny but because im 5’1 wear it pretty well. My arms are scrawny tho i never wear bangles for that reason lol.

If your doubting your surgeon maybe hes the wrong one for you, but i would say they have years of experience and he will of written in your notes what size you initially asked for so will be using that as a guide and he will know what cc he can use to avhieve that.

It is scary as you dont have much to go on with w2hat size you will end up, im sorting my pics out today so you can see to have an idea.

He was really good, it’s just my parents are against me doing this and so filling my head with doubt and dont want me ending up like Barbie! He did say 300/340 but I’m just nervous now and not knowing what size I will end up lol!!! I can’t wait to go out and buy pretty bras with no gel! 40cc is not a big difference.

Don’t be too sure about 40cc not being such a difference. I tried a 340 on one boob and a 300 on the other boob when having my initial consultation and the size difference was unbelievable. That extra 40 looked way too much for me. I haven’t had my op yet but planning a 300cc over – I’m a 32A now and a size 10.

Hi lisam, i agree the 340 was far too big for me! So I agreed 300 when I went back but seeing peoples pics I’m nit sure if 260s would be better now. I’ve done the rice test with both and 300s seem big but understand they will look slightly smaller once in (I’m having overs) and perhaps I may want to be slightly bigger than 260s…. Decisions!!! Xxx

hiya hun, i had dr chantarasak too and at my consultation with him he was v abrupt but i still went with him because i heard fab things about him. im just over 7 stone, 5’2″ and was a very small 32a, i had 300 unders last may and now measure a 30e/32dd, i dont look that big but im v small back. his scars are very tiny. xx

Louise I know what you mean about the visible rib cage! I am so scrawny up top and really small frame too-that’s why he said I can’t have low profile and I’m really worried about the stuck on look too. Am starting to panic!

Janeella is there any chance I could see your pics? I’d love to see some of Mr C’s work, espesh unders so I feel a bit reassured abut him, I’m trying to just trust that he knows best but it’s hard ’cause he was so abrupt I barely spoke to him even though I went in twice!

Hey I had dr c 8 wkd ago and he is incredible! I had 260 hp overs and 32dd. I was a a/small b before. Piccies on here so you can compare.

hey chery, im guna be having 340cc mhp overs sometime in the summer and almost the exact same stats as u, im 5ft size 30-32A and size 6 i went for my surgeon consultation 2 weeks ago n choose 340cc cuz anything bigger would have to be unders n i didnt want that cuz of recovery time, im too slim for low profiles aswell . its a nitemare bein so skinny lol i even hav to buy kids shoes! im 30yrs old this yr n actually have a few tops that are aged 10-11yrs lmao, would be interesting to see ur results hun if thats ok? my email address is lou_50@hotmail.co.uk xx

Only have a few pics n not the best but it gives an idea.

BTW Lynz i symphise with the skinny issue its a ball ache finding clothes that fit nice!! Should be much easier once you get your new boobies!!!
