yes, appauling habbit… i know lol. Just had my pre-op and told not to smoke 2 weeks before or 2 weeks after my op! Anyone else been told this? I am aware that smoking slows down the healing process… and will do what i gotta do.

Also… can’t put arms above head for 6 weeks?? so, not able to do hair for 6 weeks? Is this for real? lol.

Yes it’s for real hun, although frustrating. You will probably feel like you have full mobility, but your musle will have just undergone a major trauma and needs time to recover. If you put too much strain on it you might cause muscle distortion or other complications. Best to be safe when you have paid so much money! They always tell you to avoid smoking before the op too as it reduces the airways and heart function x

Charlotte, I was told exactly the same thing… I almost fell of my chair lol. Operation is 2 weeks today and so far I’ve only had half a cigarette all day (3 yesterday) so I’m giving myself a good pat on the back lol. Not sure about the lifting your arms above your head for 6 weeks though, haven’t a clue how that one will work for doing my hair etc. Very much doubt I’ll be able to stick to this one, however, I won’t be walking around with my arms in the air for the full 6 weeks lol x x

lol Kelbel… yeah, i cant bare the thought of my husband even putting a pony in my hair! lol. im sure i can trust him to straighten. hes gonna be getting up for work a whole 30minutes earlier each day LOL.

My other half uses a spray called niquitin. It makes him hiccup loads lol, but it works to help ease the cravings :) x

My straighteners are broke so I’m going to have to trust my other half to tie my hair up unfortunately! I very much doubt he’ll be happy at having to get up earlier to straighten to your hair so good lck telling him that one ha! Hopefully I’ll be alright to do my own hair after a few days.

Can’t get away with the spray newboobies, I’m going to get one of those electric ones I think x x

i was told told to cut down to 2 a day lol but as i was already on 2 a day she didnt have much to say but as you girls have mentioned two weeks before will deffinatly be cutting down to stop all together lol ,its not worth the risk with the money u pay for the ba also i was told theres 30% chance for smokers to get a certain condition that affects the tissue around the implants cant remember the name tho!!xx

I quit a week prior to the opp but was back on them 5 days after – my recovery has been fine – youll fine your body rejects the idea of nicotine immediately after surgery anyway xx
