Smoking!!

I’ve tried cutting down but I just carnt has anybody else smoked right up until the op date? I find this soo hard to do x

Have u tried E-cigarettes? My hubbie quit by smoking them. xx

i carried on smoking the only day i didnt was the day of my op xx

well i only had my op 6 days ago but i have carried on since its so hard to stop i did try but just couldnt do it xx

Try some nicotine patches,they might stop the craving,xxxxxx

I smoked normally before and after, i would not recommend it, I even smoked the morning of my op. Then a few hours after in their garden. All has been fine, I see the surgeon today so fingers crossed.

Some surgeons wont operate if they know you smoke, luckily mine was ok. xx

Hi, I quit on the 12th of March, best thing I ever did, I just think you look at the pros and cons of smoking when having a op, I decided it was better quitting. I have quit loads before when I was pregnant, patches, gum etc.. this time I went cold turkey worked better than any of the other ways and now I could not imagine smoking again. I think with quitting you have to do it because you want to, not because you have to if you get what I mean, good luck lovely I am sure you will be fine and good luck for your op x xx

oh ps my PC said that nicotine replacement is just as bad as smoking, she recomended champix x

hey hun, i smoked my usual amount before and after my op, i would seriously try and cut down though, one of my incisions isnt healing properly and i think its got a lot to do with me smoking, i have something called wound tension which is when the wound takes ages to meet and fuse 2gether at the edges, im now 3 weeks post op and its still not rite yet, ive been at a higher risk of infection, had to be put on antibiotics again and had to have trips back and forth to see the surgeon. i dont wanna frighten you hun but plz plz PLZ tryn cut down as much as you can, i know everybody is different and we all heal differently but its scary, if i get an infection and it gets to the implant, i could end up losing my new boobies xxx hope u manage to cut down sweetie, good luck xx
