I’m finding it so hard to quit smoking, I’m scared they will cancel my procedure. It’s really stressing me out. Mr Russo said a least 2 weeks before. I’ve waited so long for this and really annoyed with myself. X :(

My boyfriend used a really good spray called niquitin. It made him hiccup but it really worked to stop him smoking. Worth a try. Good luck xx

Hiya hun I have my BA next week, I was told as long as you cut down then wont be a problem but to try and quit 4 days before.x

i was told no nicotine substitutes. so, no patches, sprays, gum etc… however, each surgeon is different and just follow the advice of what they say.

I too have really struggled to stop smoking. my op is in 9 days. i have gone from 10-12 a day to 3 a day… just reduced it each day. i smoke half a cig at a time (eeeeeeeeeeew, desperate smoker! pmsl)… but, saturday i’m going to my mums (who thinks i’m still a non smoker from last year when i stopped lol) so, i will have to go without! defo having non a week before.

    Good luck girls. xx

The main thing is girls you are all trying your best, stick with it,thats all you can do,its not easy, but well done for trying. They advise this with your best interests at heart, making sure that you give yourself the best possible chance of healing, some people continue to smoke, they are very lucky to have healed with no problems, and thats their choice, but if you can do it girls good for you,you will be healthier in the long run,and have lots of spare cash for lovely new bras, xxxx
