Smoking??

Does anyone have any advise on how long before and after they stopped smoking? I was told by my pc but cant remember for the life of me and dont want to keep hounding her xx

i need some info on this too, i have no idea how im gonna quit an meant to do it 2 weeks before and ive got 3 weeks till my op, dunno if im gonna be able to do it as im so nervous as it is! xx

two weeks before and after hun is what they recommend, although girls on here havent stopped and have healed fine

i stopped on new years day, had my op on 23rd jan, and havent looked back at smoking since, feel loads better for it xx

Aw thats great chick I smoke but not much so hopin will be easy but its more the habit if buying a pack wen im in the shop thinking of replacing my cig shoppin with bra shoppin lol xx

the surgeon told me i didnt even have to stop just cut dwn x

which surgeon was that? Mine didnt mention it just my pc did x

mr traynor my pc told me to stop then the surgeon said its best if you can but we dont expect you to kill yaself tryin to stop just to have surgery so he said cut dwn if u can lol x

hey i got told 2 weeks before and 6 weeks after so i just quit smoking full stop – my friend smoked all through her recovery and said she took double the time to heal xxx

yeah honestly she said it took her forever to heal due to smoking i was like ooooh bugger that anorrrl so i got those champix tablets and quit on day 9 and i smoked for just over 9years and i didnt even use any motivation until 3rd week when i was craving …. bot going to lie i did put weight on but lost it straight away xxx

ive cut down alot, my BA’s tomorrow and im limiting myself to one cigarette today and hopefully that will be my last ever! as i dont plan to smoke again from the BA onwards…. hopefully! although i have been trying to quit before my surgery just never quite happened. my surgeon asked if i smoke and how many but didnt tell me to stop xxx

i wouldnt mind putting on weight im a skinny minny would love some extra fat haha, my surgeon didt tell me to quit either he just asked how many i smoked, it was my pc and pre op nurse who told me to stop, i think ill find it easier to quit afterwards as the nerves would of gone and i can do it for my babies! ha xx

i think all surgeons are different babe and give different advice but it does affect the healing process in some and not in others but fingers crossed you dont have another darling …. just think of all the money you’ll save on fags can go on new bra sets and clothes xxx

yeah im going to set a date and have my last one then i think i know every ones different but id be really angry with myself if i spent 4 grand and prolonged the healing or caused an infection for the sake of a £5 pack of cigs xx

good luck hun i hope you manage to quit but i think you should get those tablets off the doctor aswel you’ll defo quit then lol and yeah they not worth it darling fags are horrid anyways lol im glad i quit xxx
