If you want it done then you need to stop.. Simple.
If you go to your doctors they can help you, I think there are specific pills that are for quitting. Is alot of stop smoking support out there so use it
Hiya, I tried everything to give up patches tablets everything. In the end i was recommended a book to read by Alan Carr – the only was to stop smoking permanantly & since reading that i havent touched one or had any cravings that was 6 years ago & i had smoked for about 15years on at least 20 a day!!!!! Its mad but worked for me so deffo worth a try!! Good luck xx
hey gymchick, what surgeon are u having? i saw dr grob and she asked me if i smoked and i said yes (about 5 a day) and she said, oh thats fine, u dont have to give up as u dont smoke that much. i was expecting her to say u have to give up but she didnt
i’m having mr c and he hasnt mentioned smoking either but i have cut down, on about 3/4 a day now, hoping to cut down to 2/3 a day then eventually none a day lol. xx

Hi Gymchick don’t use any pills to stop smoking I’ve tried before with a pill called champix my gp gave it to me but I went completely mental on the 2nd week I’ve smashed my bedroom wall with a hammer and I was very angry and nervous don’t do it those pill are evil just think of your beautiful boobs after the BA and you will stop don’t worry
that’s what I am planning to do with mine
Hi Gymchick
I disagree with the above post. I used Champix to stop smoking before my BA, while it may not be suited to everybody as the above post shows I found it to be great. It completly stopped me smoking with no ‘strange’ side effects at all. I do know people who have taken it that have had weird dreams as a result but nothing like that for me. I felt exactly the same as usual, only I had no desire at all to have a cig.
I thought i was told that the stop smoking pills were used as anti-depressants in america? I wouldnt use them if thats the case! Why put a mixture of things in your body? Just stick to patches or the book or plain simple will-power!! Although easier said than done i appreciate!
