Hi lynz…thanks for the info, i feel a little better now…its been a nightmare but i figured if i can cut down its better than nothing!! How exactly does it affect the healing process? I think i’m gonna try the inhalers too :) xxx

it slows down the oxygen in ur blood hun so it prolongs healing more than anything else, there are quite a few girls on here that havent quit either b4 or after their surgery and they are fine =) xx

Im a smoker, and this is really playing on my mind.! The surgeon really did not say much to me about smoking, i told him i had cut down from 20 to 15 a day. The nurse on the same day, said i had to quit 2 weeks b4,and after or the surgeon prob wont operate.

I dont know weather to carry on and lie about it, or quit, BUT the last time i quit i put a stone on in one month, this made me depressed. would not mind, but i did not change my eating habbits, etc and joined the gym, But could not shift that stone. 16 months later i started smoking again and lost the stone within a few months, so i am very reluctant to give up.

Do i lie? is the big question? lol

    xx

hi shazzy, well my pc said i had to quit two weeks before and for at least a week after, but my surgeon didn’t mention it! Its all in my notes that i’m a smoker though! I guess if you can quit its better but cutting right down is better than nothing! i’v onn 4/5 a day now from 20 but its been so hard!

Apparently there are a lot of girls on here who are smokers and they are fine..Hmmm, do you lie? I would lol xxx
