If I were you hun, I would try your best to stop. My nurse was really strict about that. I think it slows down recovery or something. Not something you wanna be chancing when you need to heal/recover from the op. x

I think smoking thins your blood or something like that too? Or increases you risk of blood clotts something like that. Could be wrong thou lol

I was told no smoking and no alcohol for 2 weeks before op – I don’t smoke so that’s not a problem, luckily my birthday is 3 weeks before my op otherwise I wouldn’t have been able to go out!! phew!! lol x

I think Sarah is right, they said you have to stop the pill, smoking and alcohol before the op as you run a greater risk of bleeding during surgery which I think is when they sometimes need to use drains. You are also at greater risk of dvt.

try and give up if you can hun xx

I think you can get free nicotine replacement from the chemist to help you give up – maybe worth a try? I used to smoke approx 15 a day and gave up about 9yrs ago, I tried hypnotherapy to kick the habbit which was quite good, it changed my thought process to make me feel I was an ex smoker. Good luck hun I’m sure you can do it xx

You may be lucky like Cuks, but then you might not. I suppose it’s a personal choice and one only you can make, but for the sake of 8 weeks? i’s rather do the 8 weeks than a possible lifetime of a dodgy boobjob that was all my own fault because I didn’t follow a nurses advice. xx
