So annoyed with MYA!

Had the fluid drained off my breast 2 weeks ago now and was told they’d send the fluid off to be tested for infection etc (there were some strange things in the fluid) and they’d have the results in 5-6 days. Well no one called me so I rang the office on Friday and was told the nurses were unavailable but they’d get back to me. No one did. I’ve rung every day since and still no one has rung me back. It’s indefensible – I’m waiting for results which could say who knows what, and also have a lump in my boob now where the needle went in. I’m quite worried and could do with talking to the nurse about it. Can’t believe they haven’t even BOTHERED to ring me back, or write to me, or ANYTHING! SO annoyed!

Thats awful hun and really doesnt fill me with confidence for when i go in!

Aww sweetie that’s awful!! I remember you posting about this, I can’t believe they have bot called you back, not only is this very unprofessional it’s just rude!!! I really hope they get back to you and you r given the all clear!! Xx

Sorry to hear that newboobies. Contact seems to be a bit if issue lately with MYA. that’s a shame. I really hope they get this sorted for you. Keep on there case and don’t give up calling. Xx

I won’t. I’m especially annoyed as I knew they were a bit lacking in the contact department, as all sales companies are (they slow down once they have your money), but i still had faith in them. They’ve been pretty good in the 3 months since my BA all in all. But now that I really need them where the hell are they? How much does it take just to make a phone call to the hospital to find out my results then give me a ring? or even write a letter. Honestly, it’s beyond a joke.

This is inexcusable what on earth is happening! MYA need to pull their socks up on this matter I mean we pay a lot of bloody money to receive aftercare and then you think you would probably have gotten faster test results from the NHS.

thats terrible, you should put a complaint in if it carries on, shocking aftercare, the mod should def deal with this x

hope it gets sorted soon for u hun!! that is shocking from MYA and there seems to be alot of slip-up’s at the moment,it doesn’t look good on them! put in a complaint hun you’ve paid for ur aftercare and you should get it!! good luck xxx

This is awful, I really feel for you! It is worrying me more and more about mya’s aftercare; it seems once they’ve had your money and you’ve had your op they abandon you!! Try and stay positive (altho I know Id be worrying like mad and annoyed) but if there was something wrong they surely would’ve got back to you. They say no news is good news. Hopefully moderator will read this and get in touch with you straight away.

Thanks everyone, and MYA mod Nurse rang me on Friday finally and said the results came back clear. I am a little concerned though as the radiologist said the fluid looked strange to him, and not what he would have expected. Anyway, I am seeing Mr. K in less than 2 hours time (for my belated 3 month check!) so will see what he says!! xx
