So disapponted with MYA's service…..op in 6 weeks and I'm clueless!

Hi all! My op is booked for 4th April and I’m really excited- except that I’m feeling clueless about the whole thing! I’ve booked another consultation with Mr Singh as the first one was so rushed it was like I was in and out in 5 minutes and in retrospect I don’t want my decision about size to have been an impluse one! I’ve only just received my letter to confirm my surgery date but know nothing about what time I’m supposed to go, what I need to take as a day patient, what bra I need to take etc etc! No one has mentioned anything about a pre op appointment and whether I need to arrange this or whether someone will contact me to sort it!

The latter seems unlikely seeing as it was me who spent over 2 months trying to get a concrete answer from my P.C about how much of a ‘deposit’ I needed to may this month before my surgery date, the rest being payed off on their finance arrangement……only to eventually have one of my calls returned and be told that that particular finance deal is now UNAVAILABLE and that i’ll need to hand over £2000 instead and pay the rest over 12 months! What a shocker! Feel like I’ve been really stitched up! To top that off, have been trying to sort the arrangements with the finance expert there and he keeps failing to answer my calls or call me back so STILL nothing has been arranged! Really at my wits end with the whole company to be honest!

Sorry to hear that hun, my PC arranged my pre op appointment for me the day I booked. Then the nurse scheduled in my 1st week post op check up at my pre op appt! May be best to message Mya Mod… Xx

Thanks for the advice. I booked in October for April so I kind of think that my PC figured it was a long way off and that there was no need and has subsequently forgotten about me!

Hi huni. My PC sorted my pre op appointment but I did have to call to ask and from what I have read on here you don’t find out your admission time until a couple of days before your actual op. I would call your PC Hun and she will be able to answer about what to take but I did see a thread on here from girls saying to take, pyjamas, slippers, baby wipes, sports bra, book or magazines, roll on deodorant, can’t remember what else

so am i hun mines in 4 weeks and i have no clue what time iv got to be at hospital what iv got to take like size bras etc and i have no clue when my pre op appointment is thats wasnt even mentioned when i booked the op x
