So Dissapointed !!!! Wish Never Went With MYA !!!

All i have had with MYA is trouble after trouble, i could do my pc’s job better than her any day of the week. I have to call them, i have to call hospitals to chase up, i have to chase up my doctors . Bit of a joke when i am paying £7800 for my procedure.

They are all for you coming to the consultation and make them sound like the best people in the world. Soon as you say you will go ahead things go down hill.

I am 4 days before my procedure.. Yes only 4 days !! and they call me to say that i cannot have the procedure done on Monday, and they doubt i can have it done at all because of the information they have from my doctors – This is fair enough but surely to god they should never ever have let me pay for my procedure, book my procedure, pay for a hotel, book time off work, let my mum book time off work, and count the days down for months before getting the all clear from doctors !!

FUMING IS NOT THE WORD !!!!!!!!!

Why can’t you have it ? Just change GP and get another GP to write a letter for you? It’s not there fault , they would of let you booked thinking everything is ok and asked you to back this up from your doctor if anything it may be your doctor? They can only do so much… There’s always away around it.

Don’t worry …. I no its a lot of money you have paid and time off… But Mya are defo the best out there. I have 2 friends who went to transform and 1 who went to Harley med and 1 who went to hospital group and all wished they went to mya.

I had trouble getting my paperwork but it was right near Xmas …. Took 6 x lol I was fuming but it all gets sorted it.

What is the problem exactly, from your doctors?

I totally agree with you, they should never have let you wait for all that time, I was was contacted by my doctors surgery only saying that they wanted £20 to send over my medical information, I personally thought it was a bit tight, but I literally have zero medical history so I never had any problems…Why did you have to call the hospital? xx

I understand MYA have to follow guidelines, and have patients best interest at heart but cosmetic surgery changes peoples lives dramatically for some people and to look forward to something for so long and it get dropped days before is gutting.

So much time, effort and money has been put into this and i was confident in mya on day one, now i regret ever going here.

Just to also point out the fact that i had a laparoscopy not so long ago with the same doctors history then as i do now. So why is it that i can be put under general anaesthetic by one procedure and not the next? Surely if i was not healthy enough to have my procedure on Monday then i wouldnt have been allowed my laparoscopy. Also my doctors have okay’d my procedure and have faxed over blood test results etc to mya, so why do mya not accept this?

Im so dissapointed in the lack of communication, and the way things are done. The girls on the phone talk to me like im doing there head in. But it means alot to us patients and if i do not phone i do not get answers!!

thats poor hun, but kat is right, if its nothing to bad, then change docs, its obv only depending on the problem.

Thanks for all your comments girls .. It isnt my doctors, my doctors have said everything is fine on their side of things so its down to mya .

I had really bad depression last year and have come a hell of a long way since then, and mya have said after seeing my medical history ‘i have to be able to cope with the procedure emotionally’ which i think is rather offensive to be honest!

I don’t understand that either, it seems very strange because I have never had GA before and they don’t seem to have any problems with that!

well if thats the case, i think its unfair, and discrimative (or however its spelt) against people that have had mental health issues.

really hope you get sorted, and either have your op, or get your money back and walk away holding your head held up xx
