so fuming with MYA ?

Absolutely foaming with MYA right now, I woke up last Saturday morning with an oozing, bloody incision. I rang MYA straight away to be told I couldn’t be seen by a nurse until Thursday. So I went to the Newcastle Clinic on Thursday regarding a possible infection. They swabbed and dressed it. Dr Mounir was there and he had a look, told the nurse to write me a prescription for antibiotics as he thinks it’s infected. The nurse didn’t have a prescription pad with her nor did the clinic so I was told I had to wait until Saturday (yesterday) to receive the prescription in the post. It’s now Sunday and I haven’t received anything. So that’s now 3 days I’ve waited and my incision is getting worse. I also rang the EMERGENCY number for the women to tell me she was off work today and I had to ring the clinic in the morning?! Feel completely neglected and now my boobs in a horrific state ? I will attach photos. One of how it looked Saturday morning and one of how it looks today.

Hi Rebecca, really sorry to hear this! Is it an option to go to hospital and get them to give you a prescription if it’s that bad? They never really said anything about going to A&E if anything happens, just to ring the emergency number but if that’s not working I’d try and find help elsewhere .

@jaybr90 hey thank you, yeah I went to a walk in centre today and they gave me antibiotics straight away, I’m so applauded with MYA’s aftercare it’s been shocking. The pictures uploaded get a look at it 🙁 the doctors at the NHS were disgusted with MYA.

@rebeccapierce95 that’s shocking it looks so painful! Really bad too hear this as the aftertaste that mya promised was one of the reasons I went with them! Hope the tablets work and you can get sorted and back to being excited instead of worried again soon!

@rebeccapierce95 how are feeling today chic? Sorry to hear you got an infection… Make sure you give your PC a right good talking to! Unacceptable you must have been so angry with them.

Hope your feeling better today. Perhaps a complaint to Mya and the CQC as you seemed to have been letdown in your care quite significantly. An infection can turn serious and should be treated as such. The care in your case needs to be reviewed as it’s quite worrying.

Hi girls,
Oh gosh this has realy scared me!! I have just had a consultation at mya Leeds, not yet met with a surgeon as I’m wanting to loose a little big of weight before the procedure and I know it may change the look if I loose weight afterwards.
Has anyone else had any bad experiences with mya? How was your recovery process and the procedure and recovery are the 2 things scaring the life out of me.

I m so devastating with mya , feels like I have been cheated clearly. Had reop uplift on my left breast +BA 400CC. Strapping off yesterday and there was no uplift has been done just BA. My both breast shape different at the moment. If they going to drop a lot I will be worst situation again as my previous procedure with mya ( full uplift). I am 8th day po.

I had an uplift/reduction so my ops different to yours but I’m having the same issues with Mya, really want to complain and have done verbally but from reading comments on here I don’t think it actually gets you anywhere. Hope your infections cleared Rebecca xx
