so pleased and so scared

hi everyone, this forum is fantastic. im all booked in for my BA 15th august seeing mr k in leeds next week. Im so excited and sooo nervous? ive taken 2 weeks off work and have a physically demanding job, im hoping this is enough recovery time. Wondered what everyone elses recoverys were like? thanks x

Only took a week off after uplift and BA BUT my boss was aware and happy that I just did office based jobs till I recovered fully. I was lucky and haven’t had any real pain (now 9 days post op)

Saying that…. This is my second day back and I am little sore today. Think it’s a combination of moving around more and colleagues making me laugh.

It may be that you need longer off chick – I’ve just been lucky

I have a really physical job, i had unders and had 18days off. I then went back to full duties xx

Thanks, what’s your job fairy if you don’t mind me askin? I’m a nurse and can’t do light duties, really worried x

Katielouise, I’m a medic so my job is quite physical too, I had a quiet word with my boss and let them know the recovery period was 6 weeks. They have said I’m ok to go to light duties, as long as I wait untill October so there is enough staff to cover the duties. I also offered to do the Christmas duties this year, if you give them way’s around it they will hopefully be more helpful
