so worried going to be left with one boob

i am gettin closser and closser to my op and more and moer things are worrying me!!! i think my main worry is that i am going to get a infection and be left with a implant in one and not the other (as i have heard people talk about) i have a holiday 2 and a half months after my op i just hope everything will be okay for then!! does any one know they chances in percentage of infection happening? and any one know how to reduce the chanceS?Xxxx

hun u just look foward to getting ur new boobs! u cant go through life thinking about the risks or you wouldnt sit on a chair incase it gave way…..yes it may happen to a very small percentage of people i’m pre op booked in for the 16th of april look at it this way i’ve got no boobs now so even one would be an improvemnment jk everything will be fine stop worrying ur in safe hands also theres plenty of after care and to many happy storys out way the odd horror story hope this gave u a bit more confidence chick xx

Thanks alot hun!! thats soooo true!! u wouldnt cross the road or get in a car or anything if u always think of the negative and risks!! .. i think my problem is i do like my boobs i just want them bigger im a 34 b now! so i worry if i am being greedy ! u see what i mean !! and i feel like im going to be punished with a horror story Xx

dont be silly hun i’m wanting to join the army so fitness could distort my implants maybe?! i dont mind the shape of mine either atm there just like pancakes u only live once and MYA seem fab! I know a girl who stupidly went abroad for hers and went wrong then had pips and now 3rd op and shes barely scared….and thats after 3 ops. They wouldnt operate on u if they didnt think u were fit/well ur open to risks just like anyone else nothing u can do if something went wrong so no point in worrying about it before hand as will make no difference…..i’m sure u will be fine i;m worried to about infection etc but cant let something like that stop me as the chance is tiny that that happens just makes sure u follow there aftercare and good luck have u got a date? xx

thanks alot hun ! yeah i have my date booked for the 3rd of May with Mario Russo! it dosent help that my mum and dad are soo against it and keep posting me articles out of newspapers about peoples implants that have gone wrong etc etc! which is frightening me! but its been something i have wanted to have done for four years and now i finally have it booked i am having second thoughts and thinking is there realyl anything wrong with my boobs as tehy are lol!! but i thinks that natural for anyone !! xxx who u booked with ?Xx

i’ll keep in touch with u as with mario to chick….my dad doesnt even know yet and my mams gone crazy saying its unneccessary surgery, infections, people will judge me, infections, should be happy and learn to live with the way i look. But I’ve paid and booked and told mam that i’m concious about them, if she wasnt scared of ops she would get surgery on where shes got scars on her neck off an accident with boiling water when she was little. Your mam and dad sounds like mine old school lol they are just worried its natural my mam says she wouldnt speak to me agaain and theyll grow when i’m 21! she did everything to put me off! but i went ahead and booked! think shes just going to support me now even if she thinks i’m being stupid shes realised i’m going to get them done wether it be now or in 10 years time and she cant change my mind xx i’ll add u as i’m with russo to

I was told the percentage of infection is 2% and can normally be cured with antibiotics. Its very rare that you would need to have them removed!

Hey hun, you just need to keep on top of your antibiotics post op (everyone gets them) and do exactly as the nurses tell you as they’re the experts. I don’t know if you smoke but I’d def be giving up if poss as that can affect the healing. xx

Plus I’d have a word with your mum and dad and explain that is upsetting you and it’s stressful enough without them doing that n you need their support! Xx

I had an infection in both wounds and walked away from it with both boobs still in tact. Infection is common, but you need to catch it fast. Keep a close eye on your scars and any sign of pus/green/brown then you need to get it checked out asap. Same goes for having a temp., flu-like symptoms. You’ll be fine! xx
