I read on here that soft thouch implants come with a life time guarentee rather than a 10 year that you get with standards, Does that mean you don’t have to get them re-done in 10-15 yrs like standards?

Also read that they are less likely to ripple?

Do they come in the same sizes as standards, I am having 460hp overs so would I still need 460 in soft touch?

    Thanks ladies x x x

you dont nessasarily need any implants replaced after 10 years it all depends on the implant some people last alot longer, there was a women on the sofem forum who had had her 23 years and was onnly changing them to go bigger there was nothing wrong with them.

As for the soft touch just the implant is covered so if you do need to have them changed your implant is covered, BUT you still have to pay for the surgery. the implant is a small price of the whole ba process so your not actually saving yourself much as you paying extra for them to beging with xx

The sizes vary in soft touches as they do in standard implants, you would need to calculate the size, there is a catalogue in the bible of pre and post op tips but Im not sure if that shows you the size calculations compared with standard implants, peoples opinions vary on the different implants,I suppose it is down to personal choice,if you don’t mind paying the extra to get an implant that is designed to help reduce rippling then I would say go for it.xxx

Im having soft touch next week and was told that there is only a 5cc difference. if you are having 380cc CUI the equivelant is a 375cc soft touch. If you refer to both catalogues for sizing/measurements you will see how this is true.

Hello ssmitty05 please can tell me what the equivalent of 335 and 365 in the soft touch are in the standard cui range? Thanks so much hun I can’t make sense of it x

    Menu

Hi ssmitty05 – like Tracy2010 I can’t make sense of the whole thing either and keep panicking I’ve gone too big. I thought it was the other way round and the CUI equivalent of ST is smaller. I’m having 325 soft touch HP, What’s the CUI equivalent? xx

missym83 from the research I have done (and Im not saying that this is right) I think what I had 335/365 is the equivalent to around 380 in the standard cui width wise but mine don’t project as much. It’s all so confusing!

So I would say the 325 would be equivalent to 340 cui?

Please someone correct me if Im wrong?? x

Thanks tracy2010 – jesus 340 sounds far bigger than I wanted to go!! oh no I hate all this debating over sizes. I’m going to ask for my pre-op pics so I can upload them and see if people think I’ll have enough tissue to cover them xx

reecara – 340 standard cui’s are 11.5cm in diameter and have 5cm projection.

The closest to this in the soft touch are the 325 which are also 11.5cm in diameter but they only have 4.7cm projection.

If you move up to the 335 soft touch these are 11.75 in diameter and project 4.8cm x

    missym83 yeah good idea.

See my post to reecara does this make sense? The soft touch are wider implants and don’t project as much as the CUI’s. I didn’t know this until after my surgery otherwise Id have gone for extra high projection!! x

I know this sounds silly but I’ve just measured my boob and its only 11.5/12cm in diameter now so surely this implant is going to be too big!! help, how does this all work! xx

tracy2010 – what diameter are the 275 ST MD? x

I’ve no idea how that works hun sorry! Your surgeon is the one to ask. I guess when they’re inside they are squidgy so they’re not gonna stick out the sides. Your surgeon will not give you an implant that won’t fit so don’t worry x

    Menu

That’s true, I need to stop stressing thanks Tracy. I’ve ordered 2 sizes for the op so if it looks wrong surely he’ll just put the smaller one in?! x

The sizes I quoted above were for the Full Projection.

If you look on page 8 the moderate projection come in different sizes – the 275 you were referring to above has a diameter of 11.5cm and projection of only 3.9cm x

Thanks Tracy, I have ordered 275 ST MP and 325 ST HP…….25 days to go!!! xx

If you’re getting the soft touch think you must be getting the extra high projection as they are the only one’s that have 340cc size?? These would be 11.25cm diameter and 5.5cm projection.

I had soft touch High Profile because I didn’t know about the extra high – if Id of known I def would’ve gone for the extra high profile – too late now :-( x

Im not 100% happy. They don’t have much upper pole fullness and I wish they were rounder. I also wish Id gone for the extra high projection as I feel they are quite flat! :-(

No, I didn’t know about the extra high!!!! Thought I’d researched really well and thought I knew it all. Didn’t get any help at all from MYA when it came to choosing implants just did it all off my own back. Only realised after the op that I should’ve had xhp x
