I had my strapping off on the 15th and it looks like the strapping has given me a few sore patches like grazes all around. I have also got big yellow stains on my skin at the side of my boobs which I can’t get off! When I left the clinic after having the strapping off I also bits of sticky stuff still left on me from the strapping which I had to use nail varnish remover pads to get it off.
sounds like dry patches where the strapping has been, have you tried nappy rash cream? or e45? xx
Hello, yeahh I think it must have been rubbing. No I haven’t but they are scabbed over now! Good idea though thanks Xx
@cazza2p hi, I had the graze marks things too where my strapping had been irritating me, I used sudacrem and it went after a few days. I also had the sticky stuff which is just the backing from the strapping and found sanitising hand gel worked really well to get it off, my husband had to do it for me though as I was so scared I would get it on my incisions!! Hope you are doing well though xx
Hope you doing ok.. What I find really good and moisturising is olive oil.. I haven’t had my boobs done yet but all booked.. I do however suffer with psoriasis and it works really well with the burning and itching sensation.. Hope your recover is going well honey xxx
Hi Robyn! Sanitising gel would’ve been a good idea. I know I get scared to wash near my incisions! Thankyou I hope your doing well too X And olive oil sounds good Emily. I may use baby oil in my baths because my skin is quite dry at the moment too. Thanks ? Good luck for your op x
What was the pain like when they removed the ‘sticky plasater’/bandages?! I’m dreading it!
Are you sure the yellow stains aren’t bruises? I have yellow bruises between my boobs and a little bit below them. I have been putting arnica on those areas (not on broken skin though!) and it has cleared up so quickly. Nearly gone now, just the areas around the drains to go.
Jade – removing the strapping was by far the most painful part of the whole experience for me, especially under my arms. That said, it is only a few seconds and you can definitely handle it. I think it depends on the type of strapping they use, but I had microfoam and it was stuck on well!
Strapping hurts a bit wen comes of . I found that the worse part x
Hi! I’m not sure if it was bruises as it was the shape of the strapping and didn’t hurt! Think it was the disinfectant stuff they put on during the op?! And the strapping was a little sore, like a slow wax I suppose. Not too bad though xx
