Hi girls just a quick question as I had my op this morning – pain is completely bearable but I’ve noticed my upper rib cage is swollen (with that crunch fluid/air) and Is probably the most painful place to the touch. Anyone else experience this? Xx
Hi Mary.
Hope you are feeling well after your op.
I’m 2DPO…you could be stiff from no movement. Have you managed to move around a bit yet?
I thought I’d have alot more pain but I don’t. Are you keeping on top of your pain killers? That’s very important.
Did you have a really good experience?
Only bad thing for me is I’m finding it hard to sleep for long periods of time. Xxx
@talzin
Good thought! I’ll make sure to get up and around for a bit to see if it helps. It’s not too bad but just didn’t expect for the most pain to be my ribs!
I really did have a good experience! I was surprised but easy it was. I’ll see how sleeping goes today. I’m not nauseous but my anti-nausea medication is a sedative so I may take it tonight to make sure I get a good first nights sleep. Anything you have found to help? Hope you are well! Xx
Aw it’s so great go hear a good story.
I would defo recommend moving a bit. Get the blood flowing.
I’m off to fat club and getting my nails done tomorrow. Looking forward to seeing the outside world.
My PC suggested I sleep on top of as many pillows as possible. It seems to habw helped. Hopin to sleep some more now xxx
My ribs have beenKILLING me.. 8 days PiO now id say it went yesterday x
It helped me to totally stretch out he aching side xx
I had my op in September and I had this! Felt so weird to touch and sounded horrible if I pressed it lol. It settled down after a few days so don’t worry about it 🙂 just keep on top of your meds xxx
I had surgery 10 days ago and it felt like I had broke a rib and when I touched it it felt like exactly what you’ve just said like crunch fluid it felt awful !! So glad that’s normal and I’m not the only one lol ! Xxx
