SORRY A QUESTION ABOUT NAILS NOW…(PRE OP)

Hello, me again, Am I allowed to get a clear coat of acrilic on my nails? It’s fine as long as it’s clear and you can see my nail colour underneath right? This is soooo daunting? Also erm hair extensions…can I leave them in? they’ll be nothing of me left at this rate! hahaha. xxx

No hun, I was told yesterday on my pre up not to get any nail varnish on my nails, clear or not. I’m guessing its to do with cappillary refill or something like that (when they press on the nail to see how quick blood returns)

Hair extensions shouldn’t be any problem as long as your hair is up thou

I would say your hair extensions should be fine as long as their not clip in ones because you’re not allowed to have any metal on, not even on your hairband.

I got told no nail varnish at all toes or fingers was looking foward to a nice man and ped before the hospital trip too! boo!!!!

hi i have had a few ops , not cosmetic ones and they need to be able to check ur toes and finga nails for the capillairys , like what sarah said . there quite strict about it im afraid x x x x

I had clear gel nails on and they let me keep them. Had to take off the polish on my toes though. They just need to be able to see your nail bed. Although if your nails are long they might get in the way of the thing they put over your finger to measure heart rate.

right let me tell u all how it is as i have acrilics hahaha… its not just so they can see the nail bed and oxygen etc but the acrylic effects the reading on the pulse thing they put on ur fingers. so its ok to keep ur nails on just pop into ur nail place and have the acrylic removed of ur 2 index fingers and tht will be ok as they are the only fingers they will need xxx xxxx
