Sorry for to much info post but….

Has anyone suffered with a bad belly after op? I’m 3 days po and have been in pain with my stomach! I had to rush to the toilet at 5 this morning which is easier said than done lol! My stomach is gurgling away very bloated and i have very stinky wind!! ( blushing as I write this lol) IS it just the ga leaving my system or is it the meds I’m on?! X

its competely normal! took me 8 days to go to the toilet regardless of the amount of movical i had taken! my stomach is still bloated a bit now and i’m 20 days po! getting better though and i’m starting to feel a bit more normal!

Totally normal I took senacot for a few days that helped loads xx

Omg, I was badly constipated after my op- didn’t go for 5 days and by which point I was in total agony. Had to take some senokot, still didn’t go for another day, and when I went, it was like something had died. Haha. All normal! x

I took 3 different laxatives in one day – probably shouldn’t have but I was In so much discomfort then i drank prune juice – absolutely disgusting! However I went 4 times the next day haha how lady like! Xx

dont worry stinky its just the general anestic. lol ul be fine. cranberry juice will sort u out. xx

I’m so glad you started this thread….I had terrible wind day 3 too and it was just when the nurses were coming to change my dressing and take my drains out…so not pretty lol xx

Its embarrassing!! My stomach has calmed down a bit since posting this but its awful!! lol @LK

Is it normal of laxative to give u a really bad stomach cramps before ” releasing ” I’m 4 days post op took a laxative last night and this morning woke up to horrific stomach cramps n sweating!!!!

omg mine is the same, i have also been waking up in the night with a painful stomache gurgling away and feeling as if i am absolutely starving so have been having to go down for something to eat to settle my stomache which ive never done! must say ive had no trouble goin toilet tho so i must be lucky there bbut only 4 days po x
