Hi, Can anyone tell me would it be ok to go to a spa just under 3 weeks after op? I have a hen weekend to go to and worried about scars and using sauna, steam room, pool etc… Its my sister’s weekend and shes gonna kill me if I have a problem with going!!

I had the same question pre-op. Spoke to nurse and it was a big no no with steam room, pool and sauna. My spa break was due 3 weeks post op. I’ve cancelled as I cant justify spending that amount of money, and not to be able to use any of the facilities.

Sorry to be a party pooper, but who wants to risk infection in lovely new boobies?!!

Thanks hun. I wouldnt do anything to risk them but do you think its ok to go and just relax and have a massage? Ive already paid for it…. The pc said it would be fine?? x

I think as long as you stay out of pool, steam room and sauna you’ll be fine. You can still have treatments and make good use of bar,…lol – just make sure you keep your scars clean etc :)

I have opted out of spa, and opted into a girly night out instead,…lol It’ll be the first outing for my new twins ;)

Just to go and chill will be good…. Thats why the overnight stay at hospital sounded good, ha!! My sis isnt the most understanding so I have to go but it is a shame I cant use facilities, but never mind….. You’re gonna feel great when you’re all dressed up and showing the twins off hun x

Thats brave Sara but I think it is an individual thing and what your surgeon says really. x

I wouldn’t go in any public water, it would be too easy to pick up an infection that could ruin your boobs or scars.

Having a massage will be fine as long as you don’t have to lie on your front of course!

PS, let them know you have had stitches recently so they don’t pull on the skin around that area too much, i find even when my husband rubs my back if he’s anywhere near my boobs the scar starts to pull and hurt x
